College Football Playoff
Week 5, 2026 — rebuilt every Monday from ESPN's public data. Pick a team for the reasoning.
Sixty per cent or better. Win what is in front of them and they are in.
A live path that still needs help — a league title, or someone above them losing.
Needs a run and a favour. One more loss and the maths stops working.
Access runs through winning the league — the automatic places go to the highest-ranked conference champions.
This board is generated automatically — written and assembled by AI, with no human editing between the data and the page. It is rebuilt every Monday from ESPN's public College Football data: the Football Power Index (which supplies each team's rating, strength of record, strength of schedule, projected record and its own simulated playoff odds) and the weekly scoreboard feed (which supplies every result, every remaining fixture and the published betting lines). Win probabilities come from the betting line where a game has one and from the FPI rating gap where it does not. The compound odds — the chance a team drops two or more of the games it has left — are calculated exactly from those per-game numbers, not estimated. Nothing here is a prediction from a person, and nothing here is a claim about what the selection committee will do.
